Prophetic Mentorship: One Gift - Many Facets
Developing Maturity with the Prophetic Gift
Preparation, guidance, and discipline are necessary developing maturity with any gift, and the prophetic gift is no exception. However, prophetic mentorship can be quite challenging - for the mentor and the student alike!
Our newest series is designed to help in both sides of the process. For those who are seasoned in the prophetic, we want to challenge and equip you to be a mentor. Maybe you’ve never considered this possibility before, or maybe you tried but got frustrated. Either way, you can tap into the special grace and tenacity God wants to give you. Prophetic people are precious gemstones waiting to be uncovered, and you can partner with the Holy Spirit to be part of this mining process.
If you have an emerging prophetic gift, it is so important to be teachable and allow yourself to be mentored. There are important things to look for in a mentor and crucial steps you must understand in order to make that relationship truly effective. God is more interested in maturity and character than anointing, and mentorship is a vital part of seeing those things developed in you.
It is always a passion of my heart to impact the next generation, so whether you are ready to invest in someone’s life or you are looking to be part of a healthy mentoring relationship, I hope you will join me for this series!
Your Host
Cindy Jacobs is an author, speaker, and teacher with a heart for discipling nations in the areas of prayer and prophetic gifts. She and Mike—her husband—co-founded Generals International in 1985. At nine years old, the Lord called Cindy when He urged her to read Psalm 2:8: “Ask of me the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the world for your possession.” That small seed God planted many years ago has sprouted and grown into an international ministry, taking Cindy to more than 100 nations of the world, where she has spoken before hundreds of thousands, including many heads of nations.
